Bug#640160: wiki.debian.org: suspend advice for wheezy bad for nouveau?

Package: wiki.debian.org
Severity: normal

The wiki page explaining how to debug suspend for Wheezy includes the
following:

Debian now has kernel mode setting (KMS) enabled by default for
most Intel, nVidia and ATI video cards. But pm-utils' video
quirk does support KMS yet. So in most cases you should try
disabling KMS first. The detail steps for your specific video
card can be found easily by searching online.

	http://wiki.debian.org/Suspend

[I assume "does support" should be "does not support".]

But this seems inconsistent with the advice on the nouveau wiki page
which emphasises that KMS *must* be enabled in order for the nouveau
drivers to work. So either there's something subtle here I don't
understand (maybe KMS needs to be disabled just before suspend and
reenabled during resume?) in which case, it would be helpful if it could
be clarified. Or the above advice should not be given to people using
nVidia cards with nouveau drivers (i.e. most people with nvidia cards
not using nvidia's closed-source blobs).
