Wiki Not Valid HTML 4.01

In the footer of the wiki, it says it's "Valid HTML 4.01", but the
validator says otherwise.

This error is on every page I checked:
    Error  Line 46, Column 70: document type does not allow element "A" here

src="/htdocs/WikiDebianLogo_B.png"

And there is also many
    Line 139, Column 126: NET-enabling start-tag requires SHORTTAG YES
on various of pages.
