Except for some Romanian encodings specific problems it was something
like:
1.
find webwml/romanian -name '*.wml' -exec iconv -f old-encoding -t utf-8
{} -o {}.utf8 \; mv {}.utf8 {} \;
(actually I did it much more complicated, this I got from Eddy Petrișor
afterwards - not tested, must be on one line)
2. edit .wmlrc in the language root dir (ex. webwml/romanian) and
replace your encoding with utf-8 in the '-D CHARSET=' parameter.
3. optionally test on one file with a 'make index.$lang.html'
4. commit
I tested with Iceweasel 2.0.0.6 (unstable) and Opera 9.22 for Linux. You
have to make sure the font used by the browser can display all your
national characters correctly.
So far there are no bad reports from our team.
