I agree. I consider this a change in the wording and not the meaning,
so as I read the constitution, (Section A.1.) this takes effect over
my previous amendment unless one or more of the sponsors disagree. I
will remove the text "(codenamed sarge)" from the text of the
amendment. The proposal as amended now reads:

1. that the amendments to the Social Contract contained within the
General Resolution "Editorial Amendments To The Social Contract"
   (2004 vote 003) be immediately rescinded;

2. that these amendments, which have already been ratified by the
Debian Project, will be reinstated immediately after the release of
the next stable version of Debian, without further cause for
   deliberation.

By my count, this amendment has the following sponsors/seconders:
1. Wouter Verhelst
2. Daniel Burrows
3. Bas Zoetekouw
4. Roland Stigge
5. Xavier Roche
6. Remi Vanicat

Although I think Remi still needs to sign a message saying that he
does in fact second this motion. Even without, there are still 5
seconds, thus this amendment should be voted on with the original
proposal (providing none object to this change in wording). Manoj,
please let me know if I'm overlooking something ;-)

Thanks,
