Well I've been through those, and several other pages. The only real difference is I'm using Lilo instead of Grub. I found Grub far too poorly documented to be useful many years ago (one of the reasons I gave up on Red Hat and went to Debian), and it doesn't look like it's gotten much better (22 man pages!?). I figured a boot loader is a boot loader?
