Thanks Andrei. I'll still wait for stable Wheezy before any further activity on this.
Incidentally, there is another way for the mailing list server to handle
replies which I imagine to be trivially simple, more reliable and not
subject to malicious abuse. Rather than target a mailto URI the reply
link in the archived message could target a Draft text. Draft here has
the meaning as in "man mutt". The References and In-reply-to fields
could be present with no conflict with changes in mutt.
