  Just checked with Aptitude and the install recommends is checked in the config.
The "remove unused packages automatically" is NOT checked ( it would cancel the install
recommends )


  Besides, the fact the second installation wasn't picked up was a minor inconvience..
the major problem was my unbootable computer after the installation.
