I've been following this thread precisely because I don't know how to
gain control over the email aspects of my Etch system.

Prior posts in this thread, indicated that getmail could be used as a
replacement for fetchmail. But, I have come to depend on procmail to
sort my mail into topic-defined mail folders. Is doing this really
something that is very difficult? Where can I find more information?
- not a simple quick fix recipe, but a discussion of the issues and how to
address them.

TIA
