Ahh, dammit.  I was leaving off the semi-colon after commands in psql :D

You encouraged me to have another go at this, and it works now, so thanks :)

rhdb-admin is quite nice too, though it seems to have a silly bug just now 
which makes it crash on mouse clicks.
