dircolors

This is my .bashrc:

alias ls='ls $LS_OPTIONS'
alias ll='ls $LS_OPTIONS -l'
alias l='ls $LS_OPTIONS -lA'

I put this in /root and in a "normal" user. In root works, but in user 
"net" dont!
Why?
What i must to do?
