The httpd.conf has been checked against old (working) files and seems
OK except for the lacj of the LoadModules lines.

shouldn't the error log show something is thats the case?

The cursor blinks, and the download bar (lower right) very
rapidly flashes on & off. Done msg appears on lower left, otherwise
 a blank screen.

Blush; no it wasn't but is now.

Yes and it does the same as it did on your page. Nothing mentioned in
the error.log about the error tho?? Its like firebird is trying but
does not pop up the "I don't kow what to do" message.

For some reason phpmyadmin does work. I wonder why if the server is
screwed up, it works.

I get the same result on any .php file I try with firebird. Netscape
7.02 asks what to do with them.

Humm, man php4 bring up
php PHP Command Line Interface 'CLI'
Which I don't have. Maybe I have something screwed up with php.
Guess I may have another problem.

Thanks for the hints!!!

Wayne
