Well, actually it's not a bug, it's a feature ;) In the old days *g* there were some machines which just had capital letters only, so once you login now using capitals only the system assumes you are on one of these boxes and adjusts the input/output correspondingly. It's simply a backward compatibility. I can easily admit, though, it looks quite strange when you are unprepared... Cheers, Flo
