CPU or Memory Problem?

System boot/reboot is failing with EFLAGS messages, STACK dump, and
line(s) about STACK TRACE.  This failure is not every time but has risen
to about 40% of boots.  This occurs with either the Linux system
that is on hdb (RedHat7.2) or on hda (DebianWoody).

How does one go about identifying whether this is bad memory or a
bad CPU?
