[Solved] Re: DHCP - 2.4.18 Kernel - recently recompiled {newbie}

I did not have CONFIG_PACKET and CONFIG_FILTER defined in my kernel. FYI if 
you are having similar problems, you can install these in the kernel here:

Networking options ->
			Packet Socket
			Socket Filtering

There was also an option under Packet Socket that I checked, but I'm unsure 
whether I absolutely needed to or not. However, I'm not messing with 
anything else since I've got network access again.
