RTC Real Time Timer Question

I've managed to get the RTC timer installed and
working. It gives pretty good performance, leaving a
timing jitter in the 10's of microseconds, good enough
for my purposes.

However, there is one little detail. As I understand
it, the RTC driver works at binary rates (1 hz, 2hz, 4
hz, etc). I really need something at 50 hz, closest
RTC lets me come is 32 hz or 64 hz. I don't suppose
there's another utility or timer mechanism to get me
to 50 hz. I use the clock to run a simulation, and
need as much timing stability as I can get.

Thanks.
