$ auto-apt search -f eepic.sty

usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/eepic/eepic.sty tex/tetex-extra
$ dpkg -S amssymb.sty eepic.sty
tetex-extra: /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/amsfonts/amssymb.sty
tetex-extra: /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/eepic/eepic.sty
Make sure that tetex-extra is actually installed and if it is, try
from another source.
