There is lots of information on this in the archives ranging from buy a
new disk to tweaking it with hdparm.  I would search though the archives
and see if you find a situation similar to yours.  For example if you
messed with hdparm or added a promise card see what others did in your
situation.  More information from you on the situation would be helpful.
Any changes you made to the disk prior to these errors etc.
