xorg.conf: wie richte ich am Notebook den VGA-Ausgang ein?

Hallo,
nach der Installation von Etch auf einem Thinkpad R51 kriege ich kein Bild mehr (unter SUSE ging es noch) auf dem Beamer. Die xorg.conf sieht jetzt so aus:

Was muss ich da einfügen, um das Display-Bild auf den VGA-Ausgang zu klonen?
Aus den Howtos und Wikis wurde ich bisher nicht schlau -- wenn man nicht versteht, was die einzelnen Optionen machen, sind Beispiel-Konfigs nur bedingt hilfreich. Gibt es irgendwo ausführliche Doku zu xorg.conf und den einzelnen (auch gerätespezifischen) Optionen?
