DVD problem (hdc: packet command error)

hallo,

noch was machen? was bedeutet die fehlermeldung genau?

Jan 7 20:37:35 localhost kernel: hdc: packet
command error: error=0x30
Jan 7 20:37:35 localhost kernel: ATAPI device hdc:
Jan 7 20:37:35 localhost kernel: Error: Medium
error -- (Sense key=0x03)
Jan 7 20:37:35 localhost kernel: (reserved
error code) -- (asc=0x57, ascq=0x00)
Jan 7 20:37:35 localhost kernel: The failed
"Test Unit Ready" packet command was:
Jan 7 20:37:35 localhost kernel: "00 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 "
Jan 7 20:37:35 localhost kernel: cdrom: open failed.
Jan 7 20:37:35 localhost kernel: hdc: packet
command error: status=0x51 { DriveReady
SeekComplete Error }

google hat mir folgendes ausgespuckt: "Sense Key
0x03, MEDIUM ERROR, indicates that the command
terminated with a nonrecovered error condition
that was probably caused by a flaw in the medium
or an error in the recorded data. This sense key
may also be returned if the device is unable to
distinguish between a flaw in the medium and a
specific hardware failure (sense key 0x04)."

nur irgendwie werde ich nicht richtig schlau daraus?!
