Re: known working build environment for building 2.6.0 sparc64?

Hi!

It is hightime to thank all of you the help I got so far,
though I am still wrestling with my kernel.

The good news is that for all packages Ben Collins thought to be
relevant, I have the exact same version than he (It includes
module-init-tools 0.9.15-pre2-1), and he can load his ieee1394
module.
The bad news that I cannot.
I also have modconf and modutils due a dependency to lvm-common,
but insmod and modprobe are the module-init-tools version. I have
double-checked that. I also suspected that maybe some library is
not diverted correctly by module-init-tools. insmod only uses
(according to ldd) libc6 and ld-linux.so, both from package
libc6, version 2.3.2-8.
Yes, depmod is also the module-init-tools version.
