32 Vs. 64 bits
Hi everyone, It's just that I want to know where can I find
documentation related to 64 bits on sparc and the applications running
on 32 bits, I've heard some gossipes saying that Debian builds
applications under 32 bits, what could be the gain in the 64 bits, would
it be possible to build on 64 bits, what type of applications would be
benefit from the 64 bits?
Someone in the place I work, says that Solaris uses the 64 bit support
but I've seen some info on ultralinux.org about some benchmarks on low
level opperations on the kernel that show linux is faster than Solaris.
Are there any other distribution on sparc architecture building
eveything on 64 bits?
Thanx in advance, I used RedHat before (A year or more ago), but Debian
definitively is the one.
