Release Status Board?

Hello release team,
I've been kicking around an idea for a new web site that might help
coordinate the release process a bit. The idea is pretty simple. A database
is organized by teams, such as "buildds", "ftpmasters", "gnome", "d-i", etc.
Each team has a set of tasks that they want to complete. These tasks can be
tied to specific bugs or other tasks in the release board (either from their
own team or another team). If a specific bug is closed which a task depends
solely on, the task is automatically closed.

The motivation isn't just to help with coordination, but to assist
communication between the teams, as well as with our users who are
perpetually interested in the state of development. This would prevent
people from having to track dozens of lists and sort through the BTS to find
out what's going on. I realize that this duplicates some of the
functionality of the BTS, but the goal is to provide a larger overview of
release-specific issues and how they interact. I don't expect this to be
used during the rest of the sarge release process, but I imagine that it
would be helpful for etch.

The biggest issue with this setup, and why I'm mailing the list, is that it
would depend on the different teams actually using the board to coordinate
their work. As such, I don't want to actually write this site if no one is
actually interested in using it. If the release team is interested in this sort
of tool I can start writing it, but I want your feedback first.
