Bug#607513: Compositing keeps disabled after last system upgrade

I didn't know in which package the composite have to be searched.
So the package composite was the best choice for me.

I understand, but the package description could still have given you a hint that this is the wrong package. In Debian you do not file bugs against features (e.g. "printing"), but against packages (e.g. "cups"). Something general like "kde" would have been better than "composite", but is doesn't matter anyway, since the bug has already been reassigned correctly. Just a reminder for the next time... ;)

I will try now the debian driver packages.
But the question still remains what have gone wrong after the update?
I think it will be only a misconfiguration.

From the list of packages that you rolled back to the versions before the upgrade, I can only guess that the non-packaged binary driver you installed was incompatible with the upgraded "xserver-common xserver-xorg-core" packages.

The problem is that the eMail-adress is published here.
So i generated this email-adress and i know from which source the
emails (and spam) will come.
If it is to much spam, i can drop this eMail-adress and use another one.

I understand, but I still consider it impolite to not tell people your real name if you expect them to help you. ;)

Tschö,
Fabian
