we don't use aptitude. requiering to be forced to install aptitude, then
install kde-l10n, then removing aptitude, is very painful for buildds
building our images. besides, even when assuming that it's posible to
always cleanly remove any of the packages installed just for getting
aptitude in, it tains the images with additional crap in dpkg.log and
other logfiles. so that is not an option.
