well I hang out on undernet #linux a fair bit, but yes there I am one of
only two or three ppc linux users.

same network as irc.debian.org is on (the openprojects irc network) the
channel is #ppclinux as mentioned on http://penguinppc.org/usr/irc/ seems to
have a fair few users, though at Australian hours it is somewhat quiet.
