I had a similar problem with a wallstreet a friend tried to install
potato onto yesterday afternoon.  His / partition is on /dev/hda11 and
when he tries to boot into linux he gets error messages referring to
problems with partition 1, so I'm wondering if the problem is that
yaboot is presuming the root partition will have an id < 10

He decided he was going to shuffle his partitions so that / can be < 10
and we'll see what happens then.
