that's not quite what native packages are for. Native packages should
be used only, when the package is specific to Debian.
Hello Arno,
in practice, this distinction has never been enforced, to the point
that it is not possible to tell if a package is specific to Debian just
by checking its source package format. Ikiwiki and Sbackup are examples
that come to mind.
Just because some developers choose to abuse native source format,
doesn't mean it's something that should be advocated to newcomers. So
please stop. Thanks.
