Re: setting up a woody chroot for backporting

You can create a nice small chroot like this:
(cdebootstrap installs less cruft then debootstrap)

apt-get install cdebootstrap
cdebootstrap woody /chroots/woody http://your.mirror/debian
editor /chroots/woody/etc/apt/sources.list

Is it me, or cdebootstrap is currently broken?

# cdebootstrap woody /chroots/woody http://your.mirror/debian
cdebootstrap: /usr/lib/libdebian-installer.so.4: version `LIBDI_4.3' not found (required by cdebootstrap)

and it seems there's no never version of libdebian-installer
than 25-really-22. Any clue?
