Hi Pierre,
Can you test 3.7.y from experimental as well? If it exhibits the
problem, please report this upstream following the instructions at

    http://intellinuxgraphics.org/how_to_report_bug.html

and let us know the bug number so we can track it. If it doesn't, we
can try to pin down which usptream patch fixed it and apply the same
to the wheezy kernel. So either result is progress.

Hi Jonathan, thank you for your answer.

I gave a try to linux-image-3.7-trunk-amd64

The system is sluggish and unresponsive when logged under gnome.
For example, using "vblank_mode=0 glxgears" lead to a score of 2 orders
of magnitude less than with 2.6 kernel (10 instead of 1000 for the same
windows size).

But, there is no message in dmesg this time.

Should I report this to intellinuxgraphics.org even with no error messages ?

Yes, please do.

Ben.
#1 SMP Debian 3.7.3-1~experimental.1 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I installed again linux-image-3.7-trunk-amd64 to be able to report the bug, but the problem seem to have gone by now ! Maybe the version has changed (I am currently using 3.7.3-1~experimental.1 x86_64) since my previous try, a few weeks ago.

Anyway "vblank_mode=0 glxgears" gives me even better results than with 2.6 (1400 instead of 1000) and I am using my computer since this morning without issues.

Even if my problem seems to be solved, there is still the bug with the wheezy 3.2 kernel.

What can I do to help to track it down ?
