The current release works (as far as I can tell) with
linux-modules-nonfree as of 2.6.24 kernel, but when I tried to make it
use 2.6.25 if won't build anymore. It seems the kbuild environment
changed in some way in 2.6.25 that doesn't work with the Makefile the
nvidia driver uses, although it does work with however module asistant
calls it.
If I could figure out what linux-modules expects of the Makefile, then I
would have a chance of fixing it. Unfortunately I have never dealt
directly with kbuild, only with the method module assistant uses
(setting KSRC and KVERS and calling make with a SUBDIRS option).
