caviar black
Qualche mese fa avevo comprato un hd da 2TB della Western Digital, un
caviar black per un server che dovevo mettere in piedi. Mi ricordo di
averlo installato e dopo avere installato e spento il sistema con mia
grande sorpresa non è più partito (si era rovinato il mbr). Non avevo
approfondito e ho reinstallato tutto daccapo... quel server non è ancora
entrato in produzione per problemi di tempo. Ora però volevo affrontare
la cosa e volevo acquistare un altro caviar black uguale per metterlo in
mirror, guardo lo stato dell'hd con smartctl e vedo:

Immagino che questi errori si riferiscano proprio al MBR che si era
rovinato. Secondo voi se chiedo un intervento in garanzia me lo
sostituiscono? Prima di acquistarne un altro identico, qualcuno di voi
ha acquistato hd Western digital? Avevo ripiegato su Western Digital
perché di Seagate ho imparato a mie spese di non fidarsi troppo, ma sono
anche pronto anche a tornare sui miei passi...
