This is a novice type question, being that I haven't done much research on this question. As I understand it, ASP and PHP pages must be read by the server software and processed as it is sent to the browser client, while HTML is simply transferred as-is. Does the extra processing of ASP and PHP pages have any significant effect on the CPU usage of a web server?
