In my experience it can cope with gathering randomness from programs
reasonably well. It's not terribly secure, but anyway.

I have. My packages are in
<URL:http://pluto.tuwien.ac.at/~robbe/debian/hurd/>
These do not (always) work on the newest Hurd (the problem is with IP
options). I'm still debugging that (suspecting a Hurd or libc bug).
