It might be worth to elide the use of getopt.
The getopt binary is in util-linux. This is only on alpha.gnu.org
and not really ported and it is also not in the tar file.

On the other hand, it might be worth to push porting util-linux, but it
needs heavy changes to the Makefiles. It would be wise to coordinate this
with the upstream maintainer. (Ideally, util-linux would cease to exist and
all utilities spread among other GNU packages like textutils. Roland sent me
a list for such a division. I can provide it to interested people).

Otherwise, I like it very much. The text is fine.
