Well, both of these are  built kernel trees (each with different
options), but:

willy@palinux:~/git$ du -s linux-2.6/
405856  linux-2.6/
willy@palinux:~/git$ du -s ../nicol-2.6/
385384  ../nicol-2.6/

I heard svn 1.3 is much more space-efficient than 1.2.
