I have to say that as an active translator I don't find anything
fundamentally wrong with the current approach. There are some maintainers
that don't seem to act on translation bug-reports, but most do quite
promptly in my experience.
I would like to ask maintainers that have translations to contact the last
translator for every language before uploading a package with
string-changes, makes it easier on everybody involved.
As long as the maintainer does his work and if possible works with the
translators everything is fine.
