I would like to take this. One of my packages (gnopernicus) depends
on it, and SONAMEs tend to change quite frequently, so coordination is
needed when doing uploads. I have the new versions already
packaged, will have to wait with upload till the new version of
gnopernicus no longer segfaults though...
