  pdbv seems to be rather different, in that it doesn't create a
hierarchy (or at least it doesn't have a separate hierarchy from the
dpkg database) -- it just extracts stuff from Packages and Contents and
displays information on individual packages.

  OTOH, the packagebrowser takes aptitude's category information and
builds a hierarchy on a webpage; for displaying the actual package it
punts to packages.debian.org.
