had done this.

  Hmm....this has given me an idea.  I wonder if it would be worthwhile
to make this editable over the Web? (maybe like Wiki, although you might
want it to be a little less 'open' than that..anyone can scribble over
Wiki, right?)

  My opinion has been that random contributions to the database would
make it less useful, but if the alternative is an incomplete
categorization, that might not actually be the case.  (ie, a complete
and slightly inconsistent categorization is probably preferable to a
woefully incomplete but mostly consistent one)  Also, even if the
set of authorized editors is restricted, making a friendly interface to
edit it might be a great way to solicit non-developer help in extending
the categorization.
