gnat-3.1 isn't yet supported on all architectures upstream (hurd, m68k
and arm are missing).

As the upstream maintainers seem committed to a "it works for our
customers; that should be good enough for you" attitude, I doubt they'll
appear without the work of Debian people. And if no one does the work,
then it will run on the remaining, what, 6 architectures, which beats the
current 3. In any case, GCC 3.1 lets us run all architectures on one
compiler, which will hopefully reduce the number of architecture-specific
cannot-build/does-not-work bugs.
