A nitpick: No. The GNU Mach is the kernel. The hurd is essentially the set
of translators on top of the GNU Mach microkernel.
A translator is an interesting thing. It provides stuff like filesystems
etc.
I think it is reasonable to call the whole damn thing the Hurd when it is
ready :) But you can also call it GNU, GNU/Hurd, Debian GNU/Hurd or whatever
you feel like :)
