More stuff for ppl to test. Again, this is going to unstable only. I
have spent a couple of hours testing and poking this version (and
fixing some bugs, too). Some of the debian-specific bugs in 0.20.3
are fixed, and many of the not debian-specific bugs in 0.20.3 are
solved, too. I'd like to hear from ppl using this version, because I
have a few choices regarding 0.20.3 in slink:
1. Backport *plenty* of stuff to wmaker 0.20.3 (which I fear would
introduce more bugs)
2. Bop the release manager with a huge brick in order to get 0.50.2 in
slink <g>
3. Put 0.19.3 back in slink
Of those options I like 2. the best, and *yes*, I'm well aware of the
no new code in slink rule. The 0.20.3 -> 0.50.2 patch is NOT trivial
(arround 11k lines), but *most* of the new code is enabled *only* if
you specify some ./configure options, or modify src/wconfig.h to
include some extra features.
Option 1. isn't a pretty picture because of the previously mentioned
size of the patch.
Option 3. would be a leap of faith. *FOR ME*, 0.19.3 doesn't seem any
more stable than 0.20.3 (I might even dare to say it's less stable);
some others ppl's opinion seems to be different.
0.50.3 is in the works, and it will fix a couple of annoying
"cosmetic" bugs.
