I would also like facilities to do the opposite, such as lists to:

A) leave specific configurations alone no matter what.
B) replace any configurations with the default, every time.

I don't know if this is completely on-topic in this thread.  And heck,
one of these might allready be implemented and I just need to RTFM
better.  I don't see these things however offhand.

Also, many of us who don't really mind writing wacky shell scripts and
crazy textfile manipulations really don't mind using cfengine is my
guess.  If its 'systemwide' and theres no machine-specific issues, whats
wrong with rsync?
