OTOH, "apt-cache search" parses "g++" as a regexp; but then, it's supposed to
do that. It sounds like there has been some confusion on the part of the
submitter: I can certainly imagine typing 'apt-get' by mistake.

Anyway, given the version of 'bug' which was used to submit it, I'd say that
this is a potato problem, so I'm taking the liberty of assigning it
appropriately just in case there really is a problem.
