If /opt/bin is in your PATH, then /opt/man will be sucked into your
MANPATH by default (unless you override this by setting an explicit
MANPATH).

I'd agree that having /opt/bin included in the PATH set in /etc/profile
would be nice. Of course, this wouldn't help with /opt/<package>/bin.
