Ok...yet again, here's the explanation:

Apparently, when 2.2-3 was built, there was a link in the kernel headers
for asm->asm-i386 rather than asm being a dir containing files, which the
script doesn't take into account.  Ben has corrected this and the new
upload is in incoming now.
