Is most (ii most 4.9.0-2 a more/less paging type program) being actively maintained? The last changelog entry is from Oct 25th, '99. The reason i ask is that there's a wishlist bug (#53418) that addresses an annoyance i faced as well.. The fact that most is not registered w/ update-alternatives as a pager when it is installed. If this was a hard wishlist bug to fix, then maybe the 298 day age on it would be warranted, but this would be a simple couple of lines added to /var/lib/dpkg/info/most.postinst. Something similar to less's postinst: update-alternatives --quiet --install /usr/bin/pager pager \ /usr/bin/less 77 --slave /usr/share/man/man1/pager.1.gz \ pager.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/less.1.gz s/less/most/g s/77/100/ Seems like an easy change to me. -- "... being a Linux user is sort of like living in a house inhabited by a large family of carpenters and architects. Every morning when you wake up, the house is a little different. Maybe there is a new turret, or some walls have moved. Or perhaps someone has temporarily removed the floor under your bed." - Unix for Dummies, 2nd Edition -- found in the .sig of Rob Riggs, rriggs@tesser.com
