Well, the information is (should be) in the packages, but it is
only used by the build daemons yet (AFAIK). I got anoyed by
ImageMagick as well, when I had to install all the -dev packages
of the many image format libs by hand before an apt-get -b
source imagemagick would work. Apt should really have an aktion
(that is automatically called with source or -b source) to
install all the Build-Depends of a package (and warn about
Build-Conflicts).
