Bug#571958: could someone in the d-i team could at least acknowledge the existance of this bug?

You certainly have a point.  Anyway, xfs is automatically present in my
tests, and I could get ntfs by downloading the
ntfs-modules-2.6.32-5-686-bigmem-di installer component (you have to do
an expert install or drop your debconf priority to medium to be offered
a manual selection).  I don't know a thing about hfs and hfsplus.
