Nope. Just tested Samuel's lastest patch and that does not work.
The meaning of the withgtk extention is that that version is used when
_both_ regular D-I and G-I are offered in syslinux, not when only G-I is
offered.
The most sensible option is to just add this to f8.txt with a comment that
it's only available for the graphical installer.
P.S. This new option also needs documenting in the installation guide...
